The world is made up of beautiful things.
Most things are priceless; humans, smiles, connection, conversations, friendships, love, kindness (to name a few).
Other things are pricey. Very, very pricey.
While these things may edge towards the more superficial side, it is still often hard not to tab it in your mind (or in a very real way, like on your computer bookmarks as I do very often).
They are too gorgeous to forget. And sometimes it’s important to remember there are good things in the world (like flower earrings made of gold).
Here are 5 things I would buy if I didn’t have to pay rent.
Inger Grubbe is a jewellery designer from Copenhagen who hand-makes her 50s, 60s and 70s inspired jewellery.
I only recently discovered her instagram and it is fair to say that her pieces are stunning.
These earring in silver are 3.400 DKK, which translates to roughly $740 Australian Dollars.
Thus, they can only be added to the maybe/hopefully/one day wishlist.
Perusing a local department store with my sister is always an occasion to smell perfumes.
Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry is guarded by a worker who stands all day by the $450 scent. I took one whiff and fell in love.
Tom Ford describes the scent as “black cherry’s ripe flesh dripping in cherry liqueur glistens with a teasing touch of bitter almond.”
But it’s even better than that sounds.
A Cabin In Ayder Yaylasi, Turkey
I have no idea what the price tag on this cabin would be, all I know is that it would be a post-covid essential.
The snow, the fireplace, the windows, the wine (okay there is no wine in the video, but it is surely just out of sight). Yes, please!
(or any Kate Maconie shoes).
These shoes are neon, chunky and retro. And Taylor swift wears this brand on the reg.
This pair is actually on sale at the moment for $340. Bargain?
Smashed Avocado Everyday
Need I say more?
Smashed avocado all day, everyday would be the dream if I didn’t have to pay rent.
Spending every morning at a cafe eating this gorgeous creation would be perfection.
What would you buy if you didn’t have to pay rent?
